Our History

Our founder, Richard Andert (Dick), first ventured into the fiberglass water slide industry in the late 1970s. At that time, new commercial uses for fiberglass were being explored due to the proven versatility and attributes of this material. Manufacturing waterslides out of fiberglass was one of these innovative possibilities. With an entrepreneurial spirit, Dick along with two other investors became one of the pioneers in designing, engineering, manufacturing, and installing waterslides with fiberglass flumes in the USA.

Breaking into a new industry and launching a new product was and still is a complex task. Dick’s business partners decided to move on to a different business endeavor, while Dick decided to persevere. Today, around thirty years after Dick sold his first waterslide in Galveston, TX, he remains committed to providing our customers with quality and safe waterslides that offer pure entertainment for people of all ages.

During his thirty-year journey, Dick has accumulated a vast amount of experience in the industry selling waterslides in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Latin America.  USA Slide, as you know it today, was incorporated in 1991. The company’s headquarters are located in Gainesville, GA, about 60 miles north of downtown Atlanta.  We continue to cater to customers both in the USA and abroad, with the bulk of our sales being distributed among the 50 American states. Our fiberglass and steel slide components continue to be made in the USA.

In addition to decades of experience, our competitive advantage lies on the combination of experience and innovation that our team has to offer you.  At USA Slide, we count with professionals and skilled employees with different areas of expertise, which gives our team a competitive edge in the aquatic amusement industry. Even in light of the present economic conditions affecting our country, our goal is not only to survive but also strive in the waterslide business by placing continuous emphasis on selecting and maintaining top quality employees.
